Spring 2005 - The resident Great Horned Owls raised a family of two this year.
Photos and comments by A.J. Hand.

In April, the female owl could often be found keeping watch on her two owlets from her favorite perch in an adjacent tree while the little ones "branched," or explored the nest tree on foot.

As best I can tell, the first one hatched on or around March 14, and they both fledged on May 2. Here they are on April 28, perched together in a large white pine.
